The SEAL-IT 100™ provides rapid sealing of 96-, 384-, and 1536-well plates using a cold-rolling mechanism, which ensures a more uniform seal than compression plate-based systems. Many sealing parameters can be customised and there is the option to integrate the unit into automated platforms utilising RS232 communication.
Adhesive sealing is a well established plate sealing method for short- and long-term sample storage and thermal cycling. Since there is no heat damage to well chimneys, it is the preferable sealing method for applications in which plates must be sealed and accessed multiple times. In addition, applications such as protein crystallography and bacterial/cell culture growth require sealing with adhesives as even small temperature fluctuations within samples must be avoided.
The extensive range of sealing material rolls now available for the SEAL-IT 100™ include peelable, pierceable, optically clear and non-tacky seals with exceptional integrity at low and high temperatures.
